I really like this one, had a chance to spend a couple days in Philadelphia last month and kept going back to Independence Hall (and seeing the Liberty Bell), there's a place you can stand and see them both at once)
That 5th piece (Washington) is very funky looking. I think it's an electrotype fantasy. The obverse and reverse shouldn't go together. It might have some decent value, even as an electrotype...
Cool. The idea of wooden medals / alternative materials reminds me of a bakelite Benjamin Franklin medal that I've got in storage. Pretty cool how they made medals out of all sorts of things not just alloys. Do you know what type of wood? (pine, maple, ash, etc)
Surfaces seem too fine and smooth for mahogany, I'm thinking Cherry or Walnut or maybe even Birch if they are stained, were those made in 1876? I know dumb ?, but!
