Got my newp - it's staying with me for a spell

The photo doesn't do justice to the incredible lustrous fields this example still exhibits. It is striking!

It is graded AU53 (PCGS), and this sentence from another example states; ʺHigh end ex. for this charmingly hideous seriesʺ is so applicable.

The MS62 that recently sold was in NGC holder somewhat similar ... went for more than my budget.

Can someone please post the secure photo for me? - its a nice one - just can't seem to reduce it for the board upload. (cert#19751684)

There is practically no wear and looks as struck - any comments on the grade? - I think it merits better.

Nice one! I'm not really sure why, but I find the crudeness of these coins to appealing. Here's my example, also in PCGS AU53.

This secure pcgs scan looks closer to reality.

I can't get the striking luster on this piece at all - there is some faint rub but in hand looks way better than 53

WWW does yours have underlying luster?

I've always LOVED that sun rays-over-mountains design. Thankfully it's been used for a long time so you can see it on crisp moderns ...

Personally I love the design and find the crudeness of them neat. Here's my example, an 8R in P58:



Off center with some great big teeth and a nice die crack to boot.

Very nice indeed. If only I could get the budget from the minister for finance to purchase a coin with that design

that's a really well graded 58 - I kind of gravitate to that design too.
