Determining Factor in Resubbiing a Card?

I am sure that many cards are re-subbed for the sake of the Registry. However, for all the people that resub strictly to increase the "value" of their card, do you have a $$ limit of what you are hoping to gain to determine whether or not you will resubmit? For example, I submitted both Bobby Jones (small) from Churchman's Famous Golfers. They looked identical condition wise to me. One card was graded PSA 7 the other PSA 5. Maybe I missed a wrinkle, but I dont think so. In this case the difference is a couple hundred dollars.
If you believed it was near mint, how many times would you resub?
What is the most times you have resubmitted a card until it finally graded higher?

My experience has not been too good. I cracked an Arod SP BGS 9 with (10, 9.5, 9.5, 9), that came back PSA 8. I cracked and resubbed again and now its in a freakin PSA 7 holder image

Thanks for any input/experiences, Tom

I'll say this: looking at your anecdote, it is disappointing that a BGS w/ 10, 9.5, 9.5, 9 ends up a 9 rather than a 9.5 based on their weighted avg. system.

I could be wrong. It may have been 2 9's and 1 9.5. Either way, it sucks that its in a 7 now.
