Question about selling cards on eBay

I recently tried selling some PSA graded cards on eBay for the first time. I did my best to scan the cards and set up correct listings.

My question is: Is paying 35 cents extra per listing for the "Gallery Plus" option the only way for buyers to be able to zoom in on my scans? Pretty much all of the PSA graded cards being sold on eBay seem to have "zoomable" scans and mine does not. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for your advice.

    What's your eBay user ID?

What size images are you uploading?

Edited to add: If you're avi29 on eBay, I can zoom in and enlarge your images?

  • Yes I am avi29 on eBay. I don't know what size images I am using, how can I tell? Are you able to zoom in on the images? I cannot do so when looking at my own listing.

I can zoom in on your completed listing, but not your active listings.

When you added your images, did you select "Picture Pack"? It's free for me so I never have to select it. Zoom is part of "Picture Pack".

    Call eBay and ask them.

I can tell you one thing. Seeing 4 cards in one pic REALLY turns me off.

If I can't enlarge and on yours I tried and can't I'm not buying. Low quality pics can hide a really bad card...graded or not.

Are you using an apple or pc?

  • Generally, you dont need to use "Gallery Plus". Its a waste of money. When you upload a photo, as long as the photo size is scanned in or the picture size is large enough, eBay automatically creates a zoom in or magnifier for the image. I have found, any "flair" you want to add to your listing is generally a waste of money.
  • Thanks for all of the feedback. To answer your question Bosox, I am using a PC. I tried calling eBay and had a very painful experience (disconnected twice and rep was unable to provide any clear answers to my questions).

Mygotta - Can you please elaborate on what you mean by as long as the "photo size is scanned in or the picture size is large enough"? How does one "scan in the photo size?" Thanks again!

try to us pics 800x600 or larger. Ebay will automatically add the zoom as someone else mentioned.

I usually put a single card as 600 width (with the height set to auto) and I always have the zoom function
  • Went to list a few items today also and had the same issue. Did some searching and looks like it might be an eBay system issue that is only effecting items listed in the past day or so.

Looks like the issues have been fixed. At least for me.
