Anybody here about that big tornado in MD well....

About 9:45 last night I was watching the Sixth Sense on ABC. All of a sudden I heard this wierd buzzing/humming sound. The windows in my house were rattling and after 1-2 mintues it stopped. Then the news came on saying that there was a tornado spotted in Tyaskin, which is roughly 20 mintues away, dead west of my house. The news person said the tornado was heading east towards Salisbury. Turns out that was a F-5 and it started in La Plata, MD which is near Washington DC. It's weired b/c ever since I've lived here there has never been a Tornado.

    Yep, I`m in Montreal though, so we didn`t feel all of it, but it broke a glass or two.

    the tornado in La Plata killed 3 people. did a lot of freakin damage. YanksFan: i live in harford county towards PA 40 minutes from baltimore. glad to see another marylander

    yup... that tornado in La Plata was pretty damn close to me... maybe an hour or two at the most... we had a bad storm where i'm at, but it didn't get anywhere as bad as what it did in MD and southern VA...

    Well for bout 2 hrs. before the Tornado came the sky was purple and it was lightning and thundering like mad, no rain though.

    Drew-I played at a camp w/ a Harford H.S. FB team this summer in Salisbury. Buncha huge mofo's. Be glad it didn't go near you. Also nice to see another Marylander holdin it down.

    i'm in Northern Virginia... bout 20 minutes from the MD border, 30 minutes from DC...

    I don't remember. All there practice jersey said was Harford FB. It was a lil' 3 day camp at SU(formely SSU). It was a T-type offense camp. I know the whole team went there. Dunno what H.S. though.

    A few yeares back we had a tornado go down our road. Wasn't that strong though. Tore about 8 or so trees out of the ground, killed a barn, and ripped some grass out of the ground then went back into the heavens. Soon as I graduate college I am outta here and going some where that doesn't have as many tornados.

    I know what tornados are like here, cuz I'm in the area where they call "Tornado Alley"
    I think we have had 2 tornados within 2 counties of here this year, but none in my county.
    Last year I think we got like 6 tornados within 3 counties of me. One that was 1 county from here, it killed like 8 people, and tore almost everything in like a 60 mile spand.
    We only had 2 in my county last year, none were strong though. The closest one to here was like 4 minutes, all it did was tore some shingles and stuff off, and took some trees, thats about it.

    Well Guys

    Sunday morning i was out at 4 am at the bowling alley (dont ask why...LOL) and there was a F 3 Tornado in hte same city-RADCLIFF, KY that i was in...only a few blocks AWAY!

    YIKES!
