Zero, nada, zilch......what is the quantity of any of these offerings I will likely ever own, excluding those received in pocket change.
And yes, I don't even care about special limited edition pieces that can be pre-ordered from the mint and flipped on Ebay.
Given me your tired, your worn, your crusty large cents of yore any day, and let others enjoy these 'McCoins'!

That's almost $6000.00 worth, without incuding the TBD's and the items not on sale yet....

and why can't they just add 5 cents to everything and make it an even price?

    95 cent across the board.

    "5-Star Generals Commemorative Coin Program"

I didn't know anything about this. Not surprising though as I don't keep up to close with the Mint offerings. Should be interesting though.

I may order one of these....."May/June American Eagle West Point Two-Coin Silver Set"

That's about 100 things too many. IMO, the only things the mint should offer besides circulating coinage are:

    -Proof sets
    -Mint sets
    -A commemorative or two
    -Bullion coins

    That's it.

unlike many i don't care what the mint is making to me it's just another way to part fools with their money

Judging from the replies, there's lots pf potential candidates for the next Top 100 Modern Coins on that list! image

Will I buy any? Sure, I'll buy what I usually buy. Maybe two of each and maybe the sale of 1 will pay for the other.
I've already paid for my 2012 Proof Sets by selling the extras!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

When I was collecting in the early 1960s, the choices of coins from the Mint were:

    5-coin proof set.
    10-coin PD mint set.

By the mid-1960s this had become:

    5-coin Special Mint Set.

I like today's wider selection better. I buy what I like and ignore the rest. Just like in a supermarket or department store.
