It is slightly possible that it was taken out of the mint capsule and placed directly into the outer velvet mint box.
Under very humid circumstances it accelerated the toning process. There is no set toning pattern for them just like any other coin.

But they will tone quickly as it is .999 silver. Proofs toned differently than UNC's as the toning is not that visible in the fields unless
rotated and then the color appears more vividly. Pretty much like any other silver proof coin.

I don't think this one(yours) is natural though.

I think the spots on the reverse totally kill that ASE.

The ASE's tone so easily all you have to do is hold one in your hand and say the word TONE slowly... and it will.
That said, they tone bad as easily as they tone good.
The spots on the reverse of yours takes it out of contention IMO, AT or NT.
