  • I would suspect a large bulge in submissions before year end to avoid the price increase. Not a surprise, and certainly not a reason to increase staffing.

I llike having this forum made available, and cannot understand why some people insist on using it to take a dump in PCGSs own living room.

No dumping here. It's about service thank you.

Going to the site they provide, gratis, to complain about their service is exactly what is meant by the phrase "taking a dump in someone's living room".

Your opinion. Most of us expect more from this company and waiting 2 months for a now more pricey service is taxing. If PCGS didn't care about wait times they wouldn't post target times on their website. Well their target is way off the mark and most of us are not happy. Simple as that. Some of us a passionate about our hobby and business. Long wait times are bad for business and the hobby!!

You need to remember the reason economy service level exist, They are giving you a reduced rate to keep a constant work flow for the graders. In compensation for the reduced rate you agree to wait for them to get to your coins. They are fill in work. If you didn't want to wait you should have sent them in for regular service.

What did their customer service department say when you called them and asked them about this?

I'm still waiting, since mid November. Weeks ago they apologized and said they would push the order through...nada!
  • markinsdmarkinsd Posts: 116 ✭✭✭
When my order arrived at PCGS in November the estimated turn around was 20 days. Now that they have my order it's 37 days.. This is unacceptable and I have already emailed customer service to let them know. I really don't care about holidays and rushing to get coins graded before the rate increase. I expect the same service regardless. Get the job done! I expect every business to get their orders completed in their estimated time frame regardless of what business they are in.

Sorry, I must have missed where PCGS says they can can take however long they want to grade my economy order since they are giving me a discount. I actually don't see anything that states economy grading is a discount on anything. Anyone want to show me where it says anything of the sort? You pay a rate based on a target turn around time and the value of the coin. They have far exceeded their turn around time.

The #1 item in the Terms & Conditions:

PCGS will endeavor to grade coins within the time frame, if any, offered as
part of a PCGS grading service. However, PCGS will have no liability whatsoever to
Customer for incidental or consequential damages due to PCGS’s failure to grade any
    coin within any time frame.

    FWIW...

Yes, and that applies to all grading levels.. not just economy. I was responding to the poster that said economy orders are fill in work..
