1974 detroit BB rack pack

I just won a ’74 detroit rack on ebay (1 of 5 that were being sold). I happened to win the one with 2 Doug Griffins on the back so I know its probably legit. Anybody know about this Detroit series. How rare or not rare? I think one had a hank Aaron on bottom and it went for $161.

I believe they are authentic and were packaged by Topps to be distributed locally that season as I have never seen one for any year other than 1974 and the correct Topps product code is also printed on back of the header card. The regular Topps racks from that year with the blue header card carry a premium over these, though.

Thanks Grote15. If this were a normal ’74 blue head, what do you think it would go for?

The one with Aaron special on back? I'd estimate about $275 as cards on front were nicely centered even though they bore the typical loading marks.

I would think it would be worth more than $275. A commons showing blue header rack just sold for over $300.

That was higher than market value, imo, and also had Kaline on top and was graded...I was picking them up raw with commons showing for about $225-$250 about a year ago. The Aaron special card is nice but it's not like it's Aaron's regular card and it's on the back.

I saw several a few months back that were selling for $300 plus. I was surprised because I got mine for $120, though this was about ten years ago.
