Ted Williams and my Dad: Both Hall of Famers now!

Granted, my old man can't hit like the Splendid Splinter, but he can cast a lure and crank bait with the best of 'em. Now, my pop is unlikely to become a Cooperstown alumni anytime soon, but he and Ted Williams are now enshrined at the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wisconsin. I think there may be an early 90's checklist card from a Pro Bass League set featuring my pop (just his silhouette), but I'm pretty sure that a handful of scraped wax from an old '58 Topps Williams would probably be worth substantially more..lol. Congratulations, Dad!

Being named to any Hall of Fame is nothing to sneeze at.
I have a wire photo of him holding up the tabulation that named him to the HOF.
The man on the right is Hy Hurwitz - secretary-treasurer of the Baseball Writers Association of America. This took place at Fenway Park - press conference.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Congrats to your Dad!
