This is my father's coin. He found it metal detecting about 10 years ago. Unfortunately I was only 10 years old at the time, and didn't know that much about cleaning coins, more importantly, NOT cleaning coins. So he cleaned it with a a toothbrush. Can't really blame him as cleaning coins was the thing back in his day.
I really wish I knew about it back when I was 10, but oh well.
It came back AU details cleaned. I expected that. But now he has at least one slabbed coin.

He thinks a cow might of swallowed it and "redeposited" it, but I would think the acid in the stomach would of ruined the coin.
The location where it was found, was next to an old sled hill, which an old log cabin sat on top of the hill.
My theory is the rain washed some of the hill out, and the muddy water carried the coin to the bottom, where it dried.
The coin itself was blast white when it came out of the ground, I remember the day he found it. It retoned rapidly since.

Am I missing something? You have had a ebay account since you were 10 years old? The coin you lost your shirt on tracks back to a ebay account created 10 years ago. I must be missing more to this story, is that ebay account your dads?
I used to be famous now I just collect coins.
