I would like to keep it at about $500, if I have to spend a few more hundies for a good one that's NP.
Suggestions?

Thanks as always,

I started with the ace 250 and it was great. Upgraded to the AT Pro and love that. 500 puts you about in the middle on those two. Good Luck

Is this the one you mentioned?
I was looking at it earlier this evening.

    Thanks as always,

I've got a used Minelab I'd sell at my cost of $300, plus whatever it takes to ship.

More particulars later, if you're interested.

PS- this was a $1,000-ish machine when new, I believe.

yes that is the one. Check around and see if you can get it cheaper. I would also highly suggest a pro pointer. The pointer that comes with that package is garbage.
