1928-S SQL- Design cud and inverted mintmark?

I'm just back from the Round Rock, TX show, and this is one of my finds. It appears to have an inverted S mintmark, along with a nice 'teardrop' style design cud- is the variety known to have a cud in the later die states? Also, this appears to be the 'Large S'- the photo in the CPG looks like it was from a different punch, though it could just be flattening on this one due to circulation.

Mintmark appears upside down in 'normal orientation':

But, flip the image and it looks normal:

<< <i>It's not a cud, either, since it doesn't involve the rim. I don't know the technical term for it, however. >>
The technical term is a "design cud". This variety is well known, and is referred to as the "teardrop" variety.
