Topps Five Star Card Damage?

Was hoping to pick up a Harper base and auto out of the Five Star. I remember some past complaints about damaged cards right out of the pack. Wow after searching it appears everyone I look at is with heavy corner and edge damage. I'd be choked if I paid several hundred bucks a box to pull this stuff.
Is this the experience of everyone with Five Star baseball this year? I was getting ready to buy some boxes of Five Star football but now am having second thoughts if its going to have the same issues.
