Current PCGS Economy Turnaroud times?

moosesrmoosesr Posts: 1,966 ✭✭✭
Can someone tell me what the current PCGS Economy Turnaroud times are on crossovers? I sent in an order in late November and still haven't received it. I sent them an email about a week ago to check the status but haven't heard back.

Thanks!

From the time you send them until the time they return, you are looking at 2 months! Biz must be good right now! I have a large Express Secure Plus order in right now and today is the 7th day.

I also have an Economy order that I sent in back in late November. Nothing yet. Only 12 coins, 7 were Franklins.

When I sent them in, the Time for Economy was like 21 days, so I thought I would get it back by New Year's.

Does anyone know what "31 days" means? Does that mean how long it should take to get an order sent in today?

Or does it mean that orders getting finished today were sent in 31 business days ago? I assume that's the right interpretation. So as of today, 31 business days ago (I'm ignoring Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day) was November 30, so hopefully I'm finally there!

I imagine orders spiked at the end of the year to beat the price increase at the same time the number of business days per month took a dive due to the holidays. Then you have the FUN show, which probably also strains their resources, and I heard a rumor that one of their graders just left. Lightning-fast turnaround times probably aren't in the offing for a while.

It's 31 business days, and the timer starts on the next business day after the day they receive your package.
My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

They are saving all of the Economy Submissions for the Feb 8 Coin Grading 101 Class.

I have two orders that went live in the system on Nov. 30.
I'm hoping for results by Valentine's Day... Easter at the latest.
    When in doubt, don't.

I received a reply about my order from PCGS customer service:

"Our Economy orders are taking much longer than usual because of the many holidays we hit recently. You order is in grading right now, so you will see your results soon."
