Thicker edge on a 1992 Linclon cent

Got this in change the other day. 1992 cent with a rim or edge that is nearly twice as thick as a normal cent. Rest of the coin seems normal. What's the proper term for this "error"

The Term you're looking for, I believe, is :

    Finned Rim

If the obverse die is slightly mis-aligned,
there will be a thin gap when the die
comes in contact with the planchet, leaving
an area between the die and the collar,
where the striking pressure of the
coin causes metal to flow UP in that gap.

Fred, you are giving him information on a Lincoln cent. He clearly wants to know what's up
with his "Linclon scent" which must be some type of perfume. image

Yep, I saw that, but I just knew
that the coin smelled like a Finned Rim.
