ISA Grading Company

What are everyone's thoughts? Totally Bogus? Are ISA 10's anything special? I never heard of them and have an opportunity to pick up something. Want to know what I can expect if I send it to PSA...thank you!

Crap, crap, crap. More red flags than picking up a raw copy, imo.

I've cracked out 2 ISA 8's and subbed to PSA. They both came back as PSA 8's. That's my only experience with ISA.

That's pretty good then! I would quit while you were ahead though (notice I didn't say EVEN. If you are cracking out ISA 8's and getting PSA 8's, you are AHEAD!)

I recently picked up an ISA graded Nolan Ryan from Probstein for a very low price. It looks ok, but could always be trimmed I suppose
  • Speaking of trimmed, I just received two from PSA that I had cracked out of a CSA slab and one was noted "evidence of trmming". Both were CSA 9's. The other came back as an 8. I expected the 8.

Modern cards slabbed by ISA usually crackout and grade good at PSA. I personally do not buy ISA slabbed vintage.

I probably wouldn't buy a card graded by any company besides Bgs/bvg, Psa, sgc.
