Whoa now, calm down. It sounds like you likely have spyware, adware, or even a virus on your computer. Go download Spybot search and destroy and see if that helps.

Yeah, it'd be quite a feat for someone to break into eBay servers considering how much they probably invest into security.

Look under tools and turn on your Pop Up Blocker!

No, I don't think it is any kind of spyware. It sorta looks coin related. Like compare and like items.....just crap I don't want.

I am running AVG and don't have problems.

The "pop-up" he's seeing is eBay new way to display coins. I get it as well as everybody else and find it rather irritating.

What it is, is a magnified view of the coin in the poctures. Very much the same as what PCGS does with their coinfacts pages.

I don;t think there is anything which can be done as usually, once they iomplement this cra..I mean stuff, there's no going back!

Is this what you are referring to??

as with many things i find myself alone on an island as i <3 the new feature as it really helps compensate for most people's total lack of photography skills

    edited to add:

i find the feature to be a beast when authenticating coins on the bay

No, that looks like it is supposed to look like. I'm talking about extra stuff that gets in the way. I don't know how to explain it any better and don't know how to get a pic of it.

I haven't seen anything like you're describing, dimeman. Can you do a screen shot?

I agree, it's a fantastic addition and it sure beats the old way of magnifying the images.

Not happening here. Going to go out on a limb and say that the root of the problem is somewhere between the chair and the keyboard image

click the PrtScn SysRq key top right keyboard.

    go to paint.

hold ctrl then press v and voila, it has been pasted to paint.

now save the darn thing, upload it somewhere over the rainbow and show us!!!

if you have a multi-screen setup the image will be rather wide, so just post a link to the image and not the image itself please

Alt+PrtScrn then paste to a Paint Page.

Your probably right mingot........it's probably the nut behind the wheel.image

I'll tell ya one thing.... for being a head of a programming section for years (on a mainframe)!!!!!!

I am PC challanged. A mainframe will ALWAYS do the same thing with the same data with the same code.

A PC has a mind of it's own.

And laptops are even worse. My desktop is not doing it.....so that is a clue.

That touch pad can get you into a lot of trouble when trying to move the cursor across the screen!!!

Sorry for the rant....will have to find out what I did on the laptop.image

I would still use more than AVG. The small fee for Webroot SecureAnywhere is well worth it.
