I have seen quite a few coins out of albums, out of old time collections, I really think folks are throwing the baby out with the bath water. Some coins are steller, untouched beautys, simply toned by time, and unjustly brushed aside.

I had a snipe on it-it just went too high for me. Toning looked OK to me (I have a very similar 1916-D in an NGC slab) but you'd have to have the coin in hand to tell for sure.

The sellers first combo obv/rev photo is downright scary...

In the single second obverse and third reverse pics it looks like a buff that would easily roam into white plastic.

The age of raw is over. Even if it is NT it would still cost a lot to have it slabbed.
