1978 Topps question for collectors.

Just had this pop:
1 20945469 GEM MINT 10 1978 TOPPS 8 MIKE SADEK
I know this card is a pop 2 (soon to be 3 after these report)
I don't remember why I set this card aside to be graded. I don't think it's a tough card, is it? Looks like there's a few registered sets quite active in trying to achieve a high ranking spot.
Thanks for any input!

<< <i>Congrats! That is a tough card in 10 grade. Should command $400 at least! >>
Nice.
Great job. Put that sucker on eBay and let the market dictate its price.
Congrats!

<< <i>I heard this card was commanding $750... >>
That sounds a bit high unless Hatch needs it and even then I would say that's a bit much. IIRC, a pop 1 Corcoran sold for about 800a a while back.

He shouldn't accept anything under $750.

What are you basing that price on? Just curious as I've been following the 78 set for a long time and have never seen a pop 3 go that high.

Had some more nice poppage today. The Munson that I picked up at the Anaheim show last weekend popped under an express submission; paid 135.00 for the card.

If that were my card, I'd have one price for a certain '78 collector and a much better price for everyone else. I'm petty like that.

In regards to the Sadek, there's a *huge* spread between VCP and the anticipated price in excess of $500. I sure hope no one from our community tries to take advantage of the OP, that would be uncool to the nth degree.
Good luck, JustinsShoebox!

As for the 78 Topps, from what I understand, it is good practice to offer it to board members for 2x the amount you will end up selling it for on ebay.
