Posting Rules - Pros and Cons

What are the pros and cons of posting rules? Should PSA provide their forum members rules to post by like PCGS offers on their forums? Would you be accepting of such rules or would you feel like Big Brother was taking over this forum?

While we're at it... would you prefer no moderation, any moderation or consistent moderation; would posting rules help facillitate such moderation or would they cause additional issues due to different interpretations of black-and-white posting rules?

While most people can handle themselves in a mature and proper manner there are a few loud ones that simply can't. That's why you need rules ... rules that are strict and clear.

That way people can focus more on the actually point of this forum and the hobby can be taken more seriously.

I'm all for a set of rules that are geared specifically for the SC&M Forum.
