A San Francisco Treat

Obviously not the best examples, but I think an interesting trio nonetheless:

image

First year of issues at the San Francisco mint for copper, silver, and gold (appearing in reverse order of mintage).

Of course the 1908-s will be easy to upgrade. The 1854-s reasonable to upgrade. The 1855-s tougher to upgrade.

It's a start. image

The 1908-s is really nice for its grade range. Surfaces and color are just right. The 1855-S half is a really attractive example of the date if it has nothing wrong with it. I'd like to take a closer look at the shield/drapery area, though. Many of these have been tooled and retoned to hide the work. Is this a slabbed or raw coin? I have commented on the 1854-s in your other thread. I am also a big fan of early San Francisco coinage. Thanks for sharing.

I love the size of the "S" mintmark in these early years. It's a freshman in your face. "Yeah, I'm here, I'm gonna be around for a while, whadya gonna do 'bout it."

    How about 40 coins.

1958 was when the jingle first appeared.

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
