Question: Penny sleeve and Card Saver or just Card Saver ??

When submitting cards to PSA, do you use a Penny sleeve and Card Saver or just Card Saver ?? I have been using both - just wondering what the majority of people do....

I use both. Psa and Bgs both ask that submitters use penny sleeve and card savers when sending cards in.

+1. The extra layer of protection certainly doesn't hurt and PSA recommends it so I use them .

    both

  • Both I sweat the part where I have to get the card in penny sleeve - that endge can be sharp and can catch on a rough edge.
  • Absolutely NO to penny sleeves. Those things have ruined more corners than you can shake a stick at.
They should be banned from the hobby.

I use a pocket knife to cut about 1/2 inch down the seam of a penny sleeve before inserting the card. Almost no risk for damaging corners after that minor adjustment.

I've been using scissors to cut a half inch down one edge seam of penny sleeves for years and it works perfectly for preventing corner mishaps. Not necessary on small items like tobacco cards as they fit without the pre-cut.

I've used these and had pretty good luck with them. Less risk to corners when putting them in and still gives you that surface protection.

    Appreciate today-
