Trinity Bats HR Challenge Charity fundraiser for Cory Hahn

Yesterday was an amazing day for me. I was asked by a friend to be the photographer at the Trinity Bats HR Challenge.. The event was held at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. The school that Cory Hahn went to before being paralyzed sliding into second base while playing at Arizona State University. Here is the story. They had high school, college, and professional levels participating in the challenge with all the proceeds going to the Cory Hahn Fund., hoping to raise enough to help him with his dream of walking again.

Below are just a few pictures from the day:

Mark Trumbo came and signed autographs. He didn't participate....probably wouldn't have been fair to neighboring houses!

Here is the list of professionals that came out and played:

Steve Garvey was there watching his son who is the Marlins organization. I had a nice 5 minute conversation with the guy.

They also had a raffle, I won a Howie Kendrick game used bat. I also purchased two autograph bats. One I had Trumbo sign and the other I had (almost) every one of the professionals sign.
Overall it was a great day.

    Bobby,

Garvey was such a down to earth guy. He was talking about working with Bryce Harper and trying to get him nominated to be on the cover MLB13. Crazy part about the whole thing was that most of the people were just leaving him alone and were spending their time talking to the prospects.

Kids nowadays have no idea who Steve Garvey is. I recently sent him a TTM and he nicely signed two of his '71 RC for me. Been a fan of his (and Dale Murphy) since I was wee.
