Four Sharp Corners always mess up my orders!

Missing 4 cards this time. Last time they missed 2 and had a case that was cracked. I left clear instructions to count and make sure all my cards were present. I just made another order after I made an ebay order that they just messed up for $875. Let's see what they mess up on that. And their 10's should not be 10's in most cases! I am done with that company no matter how good a deal they might have!

Comments

  • so they have messed up two of your orders, including one for $875, yet you still placed another order? Makes sense.

They messed up 1 order...fixed it. I made an order on ebay and before I got that package in the mail I made a website order for $875. I just got the ebay 54 card order and it is missing 4 cards. I am still waiting for the website order and hoping that is not messed up. I will not be ordering again.

I don't think 1 card will be a problem. But when they have to start counting..

I stopped buying from them a long time ago for a couple of reasons..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • They are the Wal Mart of grading
  • I've probably purchased in excess of $30,000 worth of cards from them. Only one mistake, its was corrected within days. With the amount of auctions that they run mistakes are bound to happen here and there, overall its my favorite seller on eBay! I look forward to their new listings daily.

I have bought a lot of cards off of them also, and I have never had any issues with them.

They are in fact the Wal-Mart of graded cards. I have purchased several large orders with them in 2012 with only two missing cards. In both cases they refunded the pay pal and said they couldn't locate. I would expect when you have tens of thousands of cards moving around, you would have a few in the wrong spot. Trying to locate them would be crazy. Each time they refunded without notifying me and when I confirmed, the refund, it was there. Not a bad company. I always start with 10-15 cards and end up browsing and buying a bunch more. Kind of like eating a Lays, can't buy just one.

I just received my card from 4 sharp corners, card looks great, but I'm worried that the Psa case may have been tampered with.
On all four sides of the slab, it looks like the "frosting" is showing. It's not showing on the entire edges but it's showing a little bit on each side.
Would appreciate some advice. Just FYI the card is a 1964 topps giants Mickey mantle psa 8.

I did that set a few years back. Those slabs are huge. I have had many slabs like you described and some of them came straight from PSA like that. I'm sure you're fine.

I've bought from them a few dozen times. On multiple occasions they forgot a card or I never received my order. On all of those occasions I sent multiple ebay messages to them asking for help/information and to this day have never received a single response from them. Yet they were able to eventually relist the card that I never received. Done with buying from them.
  • I recently made a couple of purchase from them on eBay. The first one went smoothly.
I received an email from them offering 10% off and free shipping on orders over $50. I purchased about $100 worth via BIN and asked for the invoice to reflect the special offer. This was Jan 7. On Jan 9 I received this message: "These discounts are for orders from our WEBSITE only, not ebay. Sorry for the confusion." I looked at my original email and even though it was misleading I asked that they give me the sales price, if not then cancel the order.
I looked once more at the sales offer and finally I did see the asterisk saying eBay sales were not included. I apologized and sent them the payment.
My only problem was the time it took them to reply to my first email. I figured they must be really busy.

  • I have bought from them many times. The only problem I have ever had was slow shipping. Will continue to buy if they have what I am looking for.

They never respond to E-mails with questions, offers, etc and don't return phone calls. But they have never screwed up any of my orders either

  • I agree in regards to the reputation of 4SC that you can buy in bulk from them at a very affordable cost. I have purchased a few large lots myself of 70's baseball. They are the discount retailer online. image
Edited to add: Thank goodness they dont charge membership fees! image

"Many of the collectors here owe the progress of their collections to the guys and gals at 4sc ... be happy they still exist."

    ahahahahhahaha

I am happy they exist, to sell to the ignorant masses allowing me to buy the quality cards I want elsewhere with less competition. No educated collector should knowingly waste their time and money on the multiple games in play here. And not to sound self righteous, but pretty much everyone on here should know better. IMO it's been a black mark on PSA for years.
  • I have had two minor issues, but they dealt with them immediately and made me whole quickly. I have not had any issues with the quality of the cards.

    I'm a big fan.

  • I've had a few issues buying from them but all have been resolved. I've always wondered how many cards they send in for grading each month and how much they are paying for each card. Is it possible they are paying 2 bucks per card? Based on some of their pricing I think it has to be 2 bucks at the most.

Just remember- Its OK to complain about shipping here, just don't venture off into a discussion about how some large Ebay sellers have a noticeable tendancy to get their cards graded 10's that would be 8's if you submitted them. If you broach that subject, you'll get poofed or locked.

Yeah, this may have more than a little to do with why I've ended my graded set quests.

EDIT: Just to clarify a bit. I'm NOT alleging anything, as there are so many logical explanations for what we've all seen that it just isn't worth speculating. But I'll just say this: in my initial zeal to build up my graded sets, I bought more than a few 4sc cards.

Suffice it to say that I've replaced most of them with self-subs that look FAR nicer, yet have the same grades. And I self-subbed them with every hope of a bump in my set.

If you're not happy with your grades then work harder. Instead of lashing out at others who are able to do a better job, you should focus more on improving your own skills.

How exactly are you supposed to work harder when it comes to looking at cards?

Had to open a case. They did not respond after a few days. I don't care how busy you are, answering an item not as described message should be your first ebay priority. I will never buy from them again!
