2 1 02123973 NEAR MINT 7 1938 GOUDEY 250 JOE DiMAGGIO

It was inconspicuous. Nothing said PSA or Collector's Universe on the outside of the building or even inside. Maybe I expected more of an office setting, but it felt a little hidden which is probably to protect the integrity of the graders.

It was worth a shot, but the odds were against you. The Brett is a solid Mint 9 and I would be satisfied with that grade.

I know they used to tell you why a card didn't bump, but my last 2 review subs they have not done that. Maybe they will
since it was a high-end card, but don't think it's something they do now automatically.

Probably good for security reasons as well.
  • Certainly worth a shot. what do they charge for a review on a card of that caliber?

It depends on the turnaround time. 3 days is $65. If it's 5K or more, it's a single day and it's $125

Bubblebathgirl and grote, thanks for the feedback. Make no mistake I am very happy with this card and grade and did not buy this with the expectation of getting a 10, just thought I'd try.

BBG, your points are all good. But what I have said and what many others have said is that I have seen 10's with worse issues than those you described. I think this card is the nicest 9 I have and the closest to a 10.

I wonder why PSA hasn't introduced 9.5's yet...

Thats not bad at all. i wonder if they'd be willing to do a "3 day-er" at The National.

I wonder how this works? Do they give it to the same grader, if they even know, or
do they purposely give it to someone different? Seems to me its just money in their pocket.

Suprisingly interesting topic as I thought this was about the Jeopardy answer to the question, "This is what no shoes and no shirt result in at the Ridgemont All American Burger"
