My show report....by DIMEMAN.

My first day, which was Thursday I picked Stone up at the airport and we got to the show in time to view some coins at Heritage and the hit the floor at 10:00.
On my first day I make a list of favorite dealers and look at their stuff first. I headed to Glenn's table and talked to Glenn and Mike (MFH) for a while and picked up a Barber Dime I had bought from Glenn. It was a 1901-O/O in anacs40. Nice coin. spent the day visiting my fav list. Saw Penny Lady's new 1955 DDO in 64RB, which will be going into her new sig line. Later in the afternoon I started walking to floor table by table looking at all the dimes. Got thru row 300 when the show was closing and set up dinner arrangement with Nick and Mitch and his daughter and Orville and Keyman64 and Stone and his friend from Chicago and rainbowroosies. Hope I didn't miss anyone. We had a very good time talking coins at Vito's.
Friday I continued walking the floor starting with 400 and finished around 4:00 in the afternoon. I managed to find a Bust dime 1820 sm dt PCGS25 at Dick Osburn's table. They sure are good people. And I found an upgrade for my 1941-S large S PCGS65. My other is a 63. I will be keeping both as they are different varieties of the large S. One has a die line or crack on the reverse running from the faces to the branch. Also forgot to mention that a bunch of us forum people met at Denney's for breakfest. Including Charmy, Rick Snow, MFH, Stone, myself and several others. I also found a beautiful 1949-S Roosey in PCGS67. I have a 66, but the toning on this is to die for. I had it imaged by Todd and will have the pics later.
Tomorrow I take Stone to the airport then come back to the show to due some final double looking at dimes and submit some dimes to PCGS. The will head back to Illinois (driving)!
All in all a pretty good show and got to meet a lot of new faces.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Jon, it was good seeing you again. Your new 1949-S in 67 really is nice
and I love the toning. I remember how hard that date was to locate in
circulation ( growing up in the Boston area we hardly ever found an S )

<< <i>man-o-man, I can just imagine the Dimes that made the rounds at that dinner table!!! for my only F.U.N. Trip I took a Greyhound and stayed with MDWoods for a few days. I can only say that the show experience is great, but meeting up with fellow members tops it all. >>
I agree with Keets!
Also right before I left I stopped by Rich U's table and talked to Barndog and he showed me his finds from the show. His half dime set is coming right along!!
Well, I just stopped in from driving and used Best Westerns wifi......back on the road to Illinois!
