1889 CC Morgan $1: your grade opinion would be appreciated! (Updated with Grade)

This currently resides in an old fattie from across the street with a grade of XF45. It is nicely toned with decent luster remaining (doesn't show well in the photos). I am considering sending it in as a cross-over with upgrade possibilities dancing in my mind. What do you think? What number would our hosts bestow upon her? TIA...

If there's more luster than the pics show, maybe AU53.
It all depends, to a large degree, on the amount of remaining luster.
That being said, my initial thought was xf45 to au53...alot of chatter right on the cheek...still a nice coin!

Super Nice Coin BTW.
But the coin has a semi washed out, scrubbed look to it. Aleast from the photos. Might all be in my head though. Some chance it might not grade as that upper reverse
looks wiped.

AU55 after restoration plus 4%
#1: I liked the look. This was most important to me.
#2: I felt it was undergarded by today's standards. My feeling was that it was a pretty solid AU50 with a decent shot at 53.
It seems like most opinions agree with my assessment. I'm going to send it in for a crossover attempt, specifying "Current". I'd be happy even with a straight cross. It is the only dollar in my CC Morgan set that is not in a PCGS slab, so it needs to be crossed in order to satisfy my OCD needs
Thanks for all of your thoughts and opinions!
