Neat bar but I hate when they misspell Engelhard.
What can you tell us about the star and the initials inside the star? I assume it's a customer (perhaps a silver retailer) that bought a large quantity of bars from Engelhard and wanted their logo added to their bars.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I wish I had more than speculation to offer.
This is the first bar I've seen with the star stamp. I like your assumption that a silver retailer had Engelhard add the star/FPM initials at the factory. What FPM stands for I can't imagine. The serial number of 10078 may mean its the 78th bar in a serial number run starting with 10001.

I don't ever remember seeing that star/FPM logo before and sure it is interesting. I imagine the PM stands for Precious Metals with the F standing for a city or other local. Very neat bar.

Don't know your age, but remember these cycles come and go. I've survived three in 60 years. Learn from these economic times and be prepared when the next one occurs. Currently many people/businesses,even high earners are just trying to preserve their wealth. Stack when u can.
