Pics are sure different but so is the coin. Much less in grade. So, is it a fake
slab or did the pop the slab and replace the coin with a lesser grade and if
so, what did they gain?

Fake slab, look at the font. In my early collecting days I bought a 93-CC in the same type of slab.

Somebody got hosed and coin was sold. What's the best here to inform ebay and cancel any paypal?

I sent a note to seller as it seems he does not do coins and may have been taken
himself. Advised him not to ship without having PCGS verify the coin/slab. Shame
that this goes on.

Is that coin a two piece? Real CC reverse and a real 1889p obverse cemented
together and hidden by the slab?

He sold it as a private listing, I'm not so convinced he didn't know he didn't do anything fishy.

It's a scam, but not what you think. Ebay had an offer to list one item using eBay mobile and there would be
no "final value fee." A free sale. The item had to be listed on Jan 6-7-8.

Someone lists and item and then someone else (or the same person with another ID) buys it and reports it
as sold. Not a real transaction and no money changes hands. But, the "buyer" gets eBay BUCKS!

2% of the sales price, but probably some limit. Limit used to be $2500 max, but seems to have been lifted.

how do you see whom the buyer is for BIN:

1. when no feedback is left by both parties
2. private feedback

i often times look through bidding history to cross-reference feedback amount and star color to find people to notify.

this won't work with BIN.

get 100 Ebay Bucks. List and sell one item with zero fees on sale Jan 6.
