MATTE PROOF LINCOLN CENT (MPL) DIAGNOSTICS THREADS

Back in 2007, at the height of the Matte Proof Lincoln cent craze, a number of MPL enthusiasts contributed to threads that highlighted each of the nine MPL diagnostics for the proof one cent coins minted between 1909 and 1916. With thanks to Paul Mundt (commoncents05) who started the effort and Bob Campbell (robec) who provided the links, here are nine very educational threads involving the diagnostics found on the MPL's. It is hoped that by putting all this information together on one thread and putting it on the Set Registry forum, those people who are interested in this subject will have a continuing place to review this data over time.

1910 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1911 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1912 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1913 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1914 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1915 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
1916 PROOF CENT DIAGNOSTICS THREAD
My suggestion is that anyone wanting to add to the discussion or provide additional data to the information on each of the threads, do so by REPLYING DIRECTLY TO THIS THREAD rather than as a reply to the original threads since replies to the original threads will go to the Coin Forum and will very quickly be lost to those who specialize in MPL's and would gain additional insight on this subject.
Thank you,
Steve

My Complete PROOF Lincoln Cent with Major Varieties(1909-2015)Set Registry
nice info, hard for me to find with new 'search'
here is a nice 1915 lincoln that has been struck from an obverse matte proof die (maybe a reverse die too)
a.k.a "The BUFFINATOR"
I wish we could get a large photo of both sides. Since there was only one die used for each side, if this coin was struck from that die it would have diagnostics associated with the proof.

I saw that one with 2 minutes to go and did a quick Google search for die markers. I saw none, but the obverse fields look matte and the hair/beard is the sharpest I've seen on a 1915. But it sounds like the consensus is no MPL.
