That thread is too huge. Its nearly impossible to navigate. Hoping some of the "experts" will step up.

MFH and JMW are very knowledeable in the series. Feel free to PM them with questions.
You can also post your questions in the MegaThread - I usually get answers from someone pretty quickly.

Not sure if he still checks in or not, but BoyHowdie was a B-dime specialist, and had a ton of experience with the series.

What do you want to know? I have been collecting Barber Dimes for 30-40 years.

Dimeman and MFH come to mind. I have a 100% complete Registry set in this series, but I do not have the years of experience assembling sets in different grades like some others do.

Ask your questions here. Those with answers will undoubtedly reply.

I always thought that a choice VF-XF Barber dime set would be cool. Never got too far with it though. But in my mind such a set has essentially zero downside as the supply of
such coins in problem free condition is quite limited. Nearly all seemed to be cleaned or hacked up. A set of uncs on the other hand could go either way. I used to buy key date
choice/gem unc Barbers in the 1970's to 1980's and found them quite challenging. My favorite "bang for the buck" dates tended to fall into the 1898-1909 range. 98-0 and 09-s
in nice unc were two of my favorites.

The two expert Barber dime guys are MFH and DIMEMAN.
My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

so, feel free to ask any questions. Ron Hedden and Jon Potts ( Dimeman )
