Has anyone ever made or had someone make an offer on coins through heritage's feature? (Oh..and hell

Hey guys! Long time no see. (Maybe a few years actually?) I hope all is well with everyone from back in the day. I sometimes come back and poke around here near the FUN show as I live in Orlando, but other than that I've been quite busy with not much time for coins. I always loved this board and learned so much...I might have to drop back in more often!
Anyway, I was wondering about this feature from Heritage and if anyone uses it or has received offers from people for their coins. (I am talking about the "make offer" feature heritage let's people use on coins bought from heritage and that are added in the "my collection" tab.) I've never had any offers but then again, I 'aint a high-roller so I was just wondering about other users experiences...
Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, I have on rare occasions bought and sold other folks' coins through Heritage's "make offer" feature. It is pretty low yield, in my experience.

1. i think i remember something about opting into the ability to receive offers. kind of like opting to receive PMs.
2. for those familiar with the site, lets craw inside and out of it looking for communication preferences and other settings.
3. maybe someone here kind of close to the inside can ask the tech people inside the secret sub-basement 37 how exactly the process works from the tech standpoint.
i'll give it some more serious thought after i see what we can turn up

cha-ching - just found it
go to "my heritage" then the "my collection" menu. then on the right opens another menu and scroll to your section preference, in this case "coins"
verify the email you want offers/communications to be sent to and check it twice so that way santa will know if you've been naughty or nice, ok, that sounded better in my head ><
i think with privacy laws, this option is probably set default to "do not receive" or the like and we must opt in. so spread the word if you want offers to go through as most people will probably not know this option exists

something just occurred.
i wonder if the "make an offer" option only shows on lots for winning bidders that are opted into the offer program.
if so that means that either winning bidder is ignoring great profit opportunities, not getting their offers, not checking their email, dead, hospital etc etc
i mean who would opt in and turn down great profits? that would negate the offer option being opted into. oops my fault, trying to figure out human behaviour. bad occ bad bad bad ><

I guess that doesn't answer why they couldn't simply respond to you with a "I'm sorry, I don't have it any more."
Or why they wouldn't take down the "Accepting offers" button.

Heritage apparently enables this on their own. I just checked coins I've won in the past and this is enabled for them. And I had no idea. I also have no idea where to even look to see if an offer was made.

The very first time I used the service my offer was accepted.
Never even got a response on the other 7 offers.
I will probably use the feature again. It only takes a few minutes and you never know, just might work the next time.

here is a 2014 update to these options.

you can do some manual changes by visiting the page of the item you won.

and this is what potential buyers will see if you have the BIN/offer option turned on.

during this timeframe, or that the e-mail didn't reach them." I made a strong offer on a coin I sold about 4 years ago that I regretted ever selling. The going price is twice what
he bought it for back in 2010 and I offered a little beyond that since the coin is exceptional and it hurts that I sold it. So I resubmitted the same offer & I'll keep doing that just
to until I get his attention.
