Check out this shilling, I mean bid history

Shill city

Bidder and underbidder both at 100% with the seller. Even the third highest bidder is at 50%. What would you expect from a guy who puts a picture of his kid in his listing.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

The top bidder and underbidder have only bid on 1 item the last 30 days--so of course they would have 100% activity with any seller if they only bid on 1 item the last 30 days. Whether either or both are actually shills, I wouldn't know for sure--but I feel there is no "definate" proof based on looking at one auction.

I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

He said the auction was to raise funds for surgery for the kid. Maybe that's why he included a picture of him......

    Listing---
Why are I selling? My 4-year-old son Benjamin needs to have eye surgery at University of Kentucky Hospital in January 2013 and I’m required to pay a huge amount up front before they will do the surgery. These cards have been in our family for 57 years but my little boy's sight is much more important than these cards, so they must go. I please ask that you help us and bid if possible, or forward this to someone who might be interested.

If you are just browsing that's great, but if you know someone interested I would be grateful if you would forward this listing.

This is a serious matter so I just ask for legitimate bidders only- anyone with zero feedback will be canceled unless you email first. Please note I will send cards insured via USPS/UPS/FedEx - Cost on shipping is $45. I ask that payment be made via PayPal. If you have questions you can email me at (Kyopusx at gmail.com). Many thanks! Dan

ps- I added Ben's picture in the listing so you can see him.

Is this going to be another thread where the OP slinks away in embarassment after the board doesn't quite see his side?

Ebay shilling is rampant these days, really no surprise..

i don't think the OP is a slinkerer, but he has seen enough strange eBehavior recently to be concerned about it if he was going to bid on the set.

maybe it was 2 folks just trying to help the kid out. i really hope that's all it is.

At least with ebay there is some clue as to what is going on ... call it partial transparency if you will ... so we can see via feedback if someone actually goes through with the purchase. >>

Shillers usually don't exchange feedback though.
