Picked up some nice 1955 Parkhurst wrestling cards today SCANS here

There are 434 cards from this set graded (i have 121 of them) with only 20 8s and 1 8.5 and NO 9s or 10s. Needless to say, most Parkhurst are nice when they are a 5, this is what came in the mail today. I received two 8s, one 7 and one 6 to improve the number one set on the registry.

    Very nice! Congrats!

So what's the story with these again? Why are they so hard to obtain in high grade?

I think they may have used a cement mixer to make the cards...print lines, off center, poor stock, they have everything wrong with them.

Interesting. Sounds like 1950s Japanese menko. Ha! Thanks for the info and I look forward to seeing more scans.
