Richard McWilliams, CEO Upper Deck, passed away

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet. He was only 59.

    I don't collect Upper Deck products anymore, mainly due to the lack of a proper NFL license and the feeling that the deck (pun intended) was stacked against the average collector pulling a decent card.

    However I need to give McWilliams credit for raising the quality level of the product in the hobby. I know a lot of people on this board really dislike modern collecting, but without Upper Deck, the current products wouldn't be as interesting as they are now.

    I was reading a card blog discussing his death where he was referred to as the Lex Luther of the card world.
