I have Windows Vista so it needs to be compatible with that format. Not wanting to spend a lot. Anyone have an one that still works laying around the house collecting dust that I could buy cheap??
Edited to add...I consider myself fairly comfortable with computer "Stuff", but I really don't want a complicated scanner!

<< <i>Do a search on these boards and I think you will find that many people, including me, are very happy with the Epson Perfection V300 Photo Scanner. I have had it for 2.5 - 3 years, so there may be a newer model. You can pick it up brand new for about $75.00 or so shipped. IMO you can't beat it. >>

<< <i>I may have the cheaper one because mine says Epson Perfection V30 (not V300). I got it maybe 18 months ago through Amazon. It was pretty cheap, it's easy to use and the scans come out very nice. Not sure about the Windows Vista part though. >>
It works fine with windows vista. You should be able to get one for under $70 delivered. I got mine from Adorama, a camera place in NYC. I was $65 delivered. Works great on slabs, but as Doug said, refractors aren't liked by the scanner. I use my all in one to scan them and they come out fine.
Collector of Vintage Golf cards! Let me know what you might have.
