Ideas For Group Rip - PLEASE READ LAST PAGE

Hey Guys,

I was thinking about doing a group rip for January. Steve's inventory is seriously depleted in the 70's. I went through each page today and put a few things down. I went light on baseball because there just isn't much there. I thought we could rip some newer stuff as well.....things we haven't ripped before; Eli, Big Ben, Fitz, Brady, Peyton, Ryan Howard, Hanley Rameriz, Jeter, Arod, Lebron, Wade, Carmello, Bosh and Sidney Crosby rookie years. Thought we could do another early-mid 80's FB run. Also added a box of Star Wars series 5 and Empire Strikes back series 1.

This is not set in stone so if the group wants to eliminate or add something, feel free to chime in.

    Maybe some early FB. Things have been looking mighty slim on the BBCE website for awhile so I'm not surprised with the choices. Looks like the best you could do Mark.

    That's okay I'll take a refractor Vlad RC or I'll just take a time machine and the other rookies I pull back to 1998 and sell them for my money back. Ben Grieve Refractor used to go for $250.00 lol... and it wasnt a rookie.

    he has a bunch of lots of rack packs from football and baseball mid 1980's could we get some of those???

    Out of the choices, I'd be in for the 87 Fleer basketball and the Star Wars. I'd probably be in for some 80's baseball. I'm a sucker for the old Donruss golf, but I'd only probably be in for one pack of each.

    Whatever you decide to do, Mark, I'm sure it will be fun!

    I would definitely go for 93 and 94 SP along with some other packs. What is the max? 4 packs each? if so please put me down for 4 93 sp and 4 94 sp.

    Nothing major.....sick kid on Wednesday, one on Friday night/Saturday and wife from Friday-Sunday. Couldn't have had more fun.....LOL. Girls are back to normal and wife should be in another day. Luckily for me, I missed all of it thankfully.

    BTW, I was able to reserve the 72 OPC series 2 BB wax box for the rip.

    Think that one will be a tough sell at 275 a set.

    Saw some additional things that caught my eye all baseball.

    72 series 5/6 topps wax box looks like was just listed.
    82 fleer and 82 donruss wax cases would be a good deal per box if there is interest
    84&85 topps rack boxes.
    87 donruss rack blister case
    87 fleer rack box

    Would the 72 OPC contain the Aaron and Clemente? Is it right that the series 2 is roughly #264 to 396-ish?

    Series 2 goes all the way up to the last card in set so yes. 72 opc came in series 1 and series 2 packs.
