Since I know 1894 is one of your favorite dates ..I say good investigative work ....as always
There is at least a couple of new Indian cent collectors who will pay obscene amounts for the highest graded Indian cents
If you can do the same research on the 1859 in ms 66+ that sold for $35,000 or thereabouts you would say that date has also done well.
My research has told me the whales have grown enormously in size and the other fish must just sit back and watch the show.

Very clever and funny
distraction. They were far more brutal on facial hits of any kind as well as spots back in the pre-1990 era. Based on what gets in a 67 holder today, the coin
looks ok to me as a 66. At least one of them has to be better than the rest. Now the question is how many of those MS66's have all been resubmitted for a +?
No surprise that the + sign doubled the price. Just more proof on how standards have morphed over the past 20-25 years. This coin fetched $3200 in April 2008
which was 2-1/2X regular MS65 money, but still about 1/2 way to solid 66 money. In looking at the MS66 RD's on Heritage, this particular coin doesn't really seem
to stand out. But maybe the luster is even more blinding in hand. I can envision a few more of those 66 RD's getting a + eventually. It's always nice to be first to the
party. I'd rather get 3 solid MS66 RD's for the same price than this single 66+.
Here's another rattler MS65 RD from 2008 as well that only fetched $1300. Probably is a 66 today.
Welcome back! It's been a long time.
Good time to sell if the whales are buying, eh SB?? You have multiple dups.

Indeed!
Stewart - great to hear from you and hope you are doing well
The 1859 I can't find any previous auctions on, it does look like a great example.
Any hints?
Guess I sold too soon. Wonder how my 1894/94 PCGS MS66R would do in todays market.
There's a certain 1925-S Buffalo nickel that went from 63 to 64 to 64+ in the last several years. It was a nice 63, but 64 was a stretch. And now 64+ ???
