Putty-less

Billet7

In the world of art, especially during the renaissance, wax was used to fix the imperfections in a statue cut from stone. An honest piece of workmanship was referred to as "without wax" or sin cera...which is the root of the word sincere. So when you offer your sincere thanks you are offering it raw, unvarnished and with purity.

Perhaps to a coin collector we should offer our "Putty-less thanks," referring to the similar practice of puttying gold coins!

How's that for random!!! Bear in mind I'm on some serious cold medication right now.
