Late 50's Topps / light scratches on cards?

I noticed that alot of the late 50's (early 60's) Topps cards have light scratches on them, even some graded very high. I suspect they are Topps factory scratches but I can't say fore sure. Would like to know what the collectors of these cards think?

Do you have a scan that shows what you mean?
    What I Collect:

PSA HOF Baseball Postwar Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 80.51% Complete)

PSA Pro Football HOF Rookie Players Set Registry- (Currently 19.80% Complete)

PSA Basketball HOF Players Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 6.02% Complete)
  • Topps #105

If you click on the card to make it bigger and look at the ear and in front of the bird on the cap.

The scratches in that example could be on the holder.

  • I agree (this is only an example), I own cards of this era, graded and not graded that I know have light scratches on the card. I'm trying to find out from collectors if these are print defects?

Do a control + (hold down the control key and then hit +). This will magnify it even more.
I'm collecting 61 Topps but I don't see consistent scratching in these.
