That's great news - I have a number of SCDs to submit.

But I didn't see how much it costs on the 2013 fee schedule.....

news that's been discussed already but I feel it's good to keep on the forums mind. can anyone verify if these are listed anywhere in the Pop report??

I'm curious how they will handle "unlisted" so-called dollars. Or are they sticking strictly to the HK book?

I've seen the PCGS Pop census for so-called dollars... but it's pretty sparse. I say that not being sure if it is accurate or if they just don't have much volume. NGC had problems with their census, which I see improving in the past year (far many more SCDs are listed in the NGC census now than a year ago). I guess my only comment/problem is... why should I choose PCGS? Just about all the SCDs I own are graded by NGC, and most of my collector boxes nicely fit NGC. What's the PCGS advantage?

    What's the PCGS advantage?

the advantage to PCGS graded/encapsulated SC$'s is the same as PCGS graded/encapsulated coins, there is value in the letters PCGS. some of that value is real, some imagined in the mind of the Hobby. from MyLoftyPerch there is value in NGC graded/encapsulated SC$'s up to a certain point 2-3 years ago when Brian Silliman was the sole graded and authenticator; there was known consistency and professional opinion to what was ending up in their holders(though there were admittedly mistakes and mis-attributions). the value was that we knew who was viewing our submissions.

I have confidence that PCGS is doing things correctly, it isn't in their DNA to approach whatever they do in willy-nilly fashion. I just want to see what ends up in the marketplace before I judge the "added value" of a PCGS holder/grade with these medals.

Time will tell on the price advantage for PCGS graded SC Dollars. I know from experience that NGC has misattributed several SC Dollars that I have sent in with incorrect information on the label, even bypassing the correct information on the submission form. Frankly, I have to see the NGC SC Dollar in hand before I will bid or buy it. For example, I was looking at HK Bickford dollars on Heritage's website and noticed from previous auctions that 80% the Bickford dollars graded by NGC were misattributed.
