~*~*~ LordM's OPERATION PAPERCLIP 2013 (how far will it get in one year?) *~*~

This is a numismatic trading game based on the "One Red Paperclip" premise.
In other words, I'll start with next to nothing, trade up a little bit each time, and see how far I've gotten after all my trading at the end of one year's time.

THIS IS A SUMMARY AND DISCUSSION THREAD ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT POST TRADE OFFERS HERE.
I'd hate to get flamed or modspanked for spamming up this forum.
But by all means, please DO check out the main thread over on the Swap forum, as linked above. I'd love to have more participants this year.
Last year's paperclip game was fun, and a modest success. Or a huge success if you consider it brought in about 135 times its initial investment. Of course the initial investment was only one dollar, and I split the final proceeds with a randomly-drawn swap partner. Still, going from my one-dollar investment to a sixty-some-dollar return for two of us at the year's end... I'd call that a success, by just about any measure. Plus, it was a blast, like I've said.
You can view a summary of the trade progression in a Photobucket slideshow.

A circa 1887 British medal struck around the time of Queen Victoria's Jubilee.
This modest item begins Operation Paperclip 2013. Where will the swaps take me (us) in one year?
Maybe we'll eventually work our way up to a small piece of gold by the summer. There was one gold coin last year.
I've had some ideas about the year-end traders' dividend, and posted a poll about that. Vote in it if you're familiar with how this game is played. (If not, be sure to read the main thread.)
Thanks for watching.
