Well, glad it is back up and running again ... but I literally have a box of US proof and mint sets, most if not all of the date run you mentioned, waiting to be listed on eBay. So there will be no offer from me on swap 10. But I will stay tuned. Promise! image

    Aww, geez.

I really let this one wither on the vine, didn't I? image

Thought I'd posted the lot before I did my disappearing act.

Then I got sidetracked. And am still sidetracked, what with the November detecting trip to England and all.

But I'll try to get this going again in mid-November, maybe, so we can run it for another month or so to the end of the year.

    Sorry about this. image

But there was a long hiatus in last year's, too.

Anyway, even if nothing else happens here by the end of the year, I'll still be divvying up the proceeds at year's end.

And hopefully we'll get one or two more trades in before that.

When I get back with the program.

    Again, sorry 'bout that.

Well, I ended this one on a whimper rather than a bang, I'm afraid.

Sorry for the long absence. Went through a bit of a rough patch in November and December, but I'm still around.

The final lot was a large lot of proof sets. As promised, I will auction it on eBay and split the proceeds with the drawing winner when I do.

It might be a little while, though. Just started a new job, so I might still be away from the forums for a bit.

Thanks for your patience, and to those who participated, and to the "Man In Black" who really gave it a boost.

I'll get that final lot sold off and split the take with one of y'all eventually.

  • I collect ELONGATED COINS and have lots to trade, for other elongated coins, tokens, medals or any other exonumia.

I would happily trade 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 different Elongateds for whatever you have to trade with me.

I really like anything with Lincoln and with Owls on them.

I also like coins/tokens with odd denominations.

Anyone has anything to trade for anything?

Sorry it took me so long to sew this up.

The final lot was a batch of 20 proof sets plus 3 silver coins.

It went for $152.50 on eBay.

Fees were $15-something and let's say for the sake of simplicity that it cost roughly the same to ship ($30 processing costs), so that's $122.50 net.

I promised to split the proceeds 50/50 with one of my trading partners here, so I drew a random number with the random.org generator, and the number that came up was 5.

Swap #5 was put forward by CoinZip, so CoinZip gets half the yearly proceeds, i.e. $61.25. I will PM him and PayPal him the goodies.

Thanks for all the participation here, and again, I'm sorry if this fell by the wayside for far too long.
