I played guard in high school and my coach had me watche the way Upshaw played so hes my idol of a solid foundational and powerful offensive linemen. That said names like Mel Hein, Bruiser Kinard, Steve Owen are all but gone from memory, i mean just look at Joe Stydahar he had all his teeth knocked out playing football, what i wouldnt give to have seen those brutes play especially before the passing game was a staple and it was just heart and not technique.
