Romo sucks BIG time.............

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭
I thought I was maybe wrong about Tony and was starting to buy into all the hype about how good he was. He was actually starting to play like a QB should. Reading defences, making changes at the line, making big plays, NOT throwing to the other guys and finding ways to win instead of finding ways to lose.

WELL GUESS WHAT..........I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG.......HE SUCKS AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!

I have been a devoted fan for 52 years (1960) since they came in. It only took a couple of years for them to get good and become one of the winningest teams ever. They set all kinds or records. 20 years in a row to the playoffs. Winning 5 SB's!!!!

But this last 10 or so years has been horrific!!!! Don't know how much more I can take!! Jerry had better wake up and clean house!!!! Starting with the QB and coach!!!

I want to than the Redskins for saving us the embarrasment of loosing to the Seahawks........that would have been the low spot of my life!!!

Romo.....please retire.......PLEASE!!!!!!!

Even if Romo had played well and the Cowboys won they lacked the depth to make a playoff run. Last night they lost Austin, Bryant, Harris, and Albright to injury. There is no defending Romo for his poor performance last night but I want to see how the Cowboys play when they are healthy before Garrett gets the axe.

dfr52 - I agree they weren't going anywhere even if they had beat the skins. They had toooooooo many injury's coming in and then had a bunch more last night.

But we will never do anything with Romo as QB and Garrett as coach.

Jerry needs to clean house. He should have gone for Luck or RG III. If there is a real good QB coming out next year I would cut Romo now and have whoever take his place next year with instructions to lose every game and get the QB for the next year.

OR..try to buy Luck or RG III.

Seriously ...... we are going NOWHERE with Romo........NOWHERE!!!!!!

I think that Alex Smith will be looking for a new team next year. He may not be a long term fix, but he may give the Cowboys more stability at QB than Romo.

heck, given the way the past 2-3 years of drafts goes, it may make sense to pick 1-2 QB's in the draft and see if they turn out to be the next hot thing.

If the Cowboys go 8-8 or worst next season and they stay healthy then I agree on clearing house from the HC down to the players. THe 2013 QB class is weak so I don't think they will find their future starter in the 1st round.

Dallas is in a really bad place. Bad enough to make their fans sick but not bad enough for a top draft pick.

  • Let's keep things in perspective. It could be worse. At least the Cowboys QB isn't Mark Sanchez. This may seem hard to believe, but Romo actually ranks 5th in career passer rating, above Rivers, Brees, and Matt Ryan, only .1 behind Peyton. On top of that, he threw for 4,900 yards this year. I'm not a huge fan of Romo, and agree that was an excusable play at the end of the Redskins game. Just keeping things in perspective. IMO, Romo is still in the top 12 QBs in the NFL. Laugh if you want.

callsandputs - I know what you are saying, but this is a case where stats are missleading. There isn't a stat for knowing how to win.

I would take any of those QB's you listed. He may be breaking Troy's passing stats, but Troy has 3 rings!!!

PLUS I don't ever remember Troy costing Dallas games.....NEVER!!

If you're going to be fair, though, Aikman had Emmett Smith and arguably the best OL in football in the past 25 years.

The Dallas defense back then was much better, too, and they lost a number of games this season due
to the D breaking down and/or getting lit up that had nothing to do with the QB.

Casual fans like to heap all the blame on the QB when things go bad, and Romo certainly made his share of
mistakes, too, but he is not the sole reason that Dallas is sitting home right now.

<<20 years in a row to the playoffs>>

The Cowboys have never made the playoffs 20 years in a row.

I felt bad for Romo last night. I usually don't.

Incorrect. The Cowboys made the playoffs 9 years in a row, not twenty.

RG3 is a rookie and never makes a pass like Romo's for the pick. I don't care where he ranks in QB rating, he makes bad decisions at the most critical point of important games. Who cares which Cowboys were hurt, he threw the ball to a guy wearing a Redskins uniform.

I'd take Romo as the Vikings QB in a heart beat!!!

He led the league in INTs this year, but his career 95.6 QB Efficiency Rating and his 55-38 Win Loss is solid. He's 6th all-time in completion 64.7% and been to 3 Pro Bowls in the 5 full seasons he's played.

I think QB is not the position(s) keeping the Cowboys from being better.

I've been curious to understand whether their new home stadium has neutralized having a home field advantage. From watching on TV it doesn't seem loud or energetic. Is everyone sitting on their hands watching the game on the mega scoreboard?

    Enjoy your collection!

After some researching I found that the Cowboys made the playoffs 18 times in a 20 year span, which is probably still a record.

    Romo signs 6-year extention

<< <i>The Dallas Cowboys and veteran quarterback Tony Romo have reached agreement on a "blockbuster" six-year extension that will make Romo the highest-paid player in Cowboys' history, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Romo's new deal with the Cowboys is worth $108 million and includes $55 million in guaranteed money. >>

What's really sad is that the so-called "America's Team" has not even made the NFC Championship game (much less the Super Bowl) since their 1995 title. image

At least Flaco took his team to the SB and "WON".

All Romo does is find new ways to lose.

Oh well, I have always been a Cowboy fan and always will be.....I'm not a fair weather fan!

I'm no Romo fan, but if you didn't sign him, who would you go get that would be better? Knock him all you want, that's fine, but there's nobody better out there to bring in.

Cowboys could've brought in Alex Smith or Matt Flynn. Romo has times when he's looked awful but sometimes he looks pretty good.

Alex Smith stunk until Harbaugh came in, and I'm afraid he'll go back to being subpar in KC. Flynn has had exactly one good game in his NFL career.

The old saying about the grass being greener definitely applies with NFL QBs.
