1866 Missing Leaf Shield Nickel

This was a recent pickup and I am having a little difficulty nailing down the attribution. I believe this is F-18, as the circular die polish lines are there beneath the cross and I think I can make out the repunching on the date. The date position seems right, but there are a few polish lines in columns 2-5 near the date that aren't mentioned in the Fletcher book. Attached a few pictures.

MLs are always a pain in the butt to attribute, because you don't have the shape of the engraved leaf to help you.

However, the lathe lines are a good diagnostic for this one. It is not F-18 because the lathe lines are much stronger than seen on F-18 and because this coin does not have the RPD that F-18 shows.

I am reasonably confident that this coin is S1-6002. Not listed in Fletcher. If you want to post enlargements of the entire obverse and reverse, there are a couple more markers I could check.

Please do as Howard says! Another good educational piece for us if you do.

    Cheers!

A very Happy New Year to all!

As requested, attached are pictures of the obverse and reverse. Any guesses on grade?

It still looks like S1-6002 to me. Unfortunately yours is an earlier die stage, so I wasn't able to definitively match a couple markers I was hoping to. But it looks like the same reverse die as well - note the lathe lines on the reverse.

My grade on this would be VF20.
