Sweet Rose! Centered maybe a bit lower but a very sharp card in any case!

Thanks. Yeah the pack was in rough shape so I was happy to see these inside the way they are. All corners were torn badly. Pack would have graded a 5 maybe a 6. So gota rip it. Love this Rose image!!

Very nice!!! Always exciting to rip one of these open, unless of course you don't get a hit.

I see 7 for sure, with possibly 3 of those being 9's. Of course, without seeing the backs, it's wild guess. Oh, the number of great looking fronts I've gotten from cracks/rips only to have the backs be a mess.

    Very nice cards.

Congratulations on pulling the Rose! Hard to tell about the corners but they look good on my screen.

Are you planning to sub any?

Ill be sending in the rose for sure. All the corners are mint except for on 2 of the cards. This is my 5th rose to pull from this year and I am def sending it to PSA or Maybe BVG at the houston show. It wont be ever for sale so I dont really care which of the 2 grades it. I do like BVgs case so I think Im at 65% on them.

we need more threads like this. great job.
  • We need more unopened collectors ripping their packs, liberating the cards
for true collectors. Cards we meant to be looked at, not stuck in packs.

    I applaud the OP.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the PSA 10 collector he didn't exist.

Mike - I thought the darn things were growing on trees at the time!

By the way, the Pappas, Ruiz and Rose above are super nice!

If anyone ever sees a Ruiz on the front of a 1970 cello, buy it!
