Not mini

An amusing eBay tale for you: I collect 1975 Topps mini cards in PSA 8 grade so when I search eBay I use "1975 mini PSA 8" as the criteria.
Last week I get a Brooks Robinson that I won and it's a regular size 1975 Topps. I look at the listing and sure enough it says "1975 Topps NOT MINI HOF Brooks Robinson PSA 8". Yes, I was too busy looking at the corners of the scanned card to notice it was not a mini and yes "NOT MINI" was in caps in the title. The seller did offer a refund which I declined due to the hassle for a $13 card. I did tell him he could list 1975 cards without "MINI" in the title. I'm pretty sure if you just put "1975 Topps", it's assumed to be the regular sized card.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I've almost been burned a few times.
I questioned one seller who listed a "GAME-WORN" Mark Fidrych jersey shortly after Fidryych died (I can spot a phony 70's=80's Tigers jersey from a hundred yards, as nobody--not even Mitchell & Ness--ever bothers to try and correctly recreate the odd number/letter sizes that the Tigers used. But I digress.)
The reply? "This is a used jersey that has obviously been worn in a game. I didn't say it was worn in a major league game."
Another time I had the Ebay filter set to "Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop>Game Used Memorabilia>Baseball-MLB>Jerseys" and got a listing for (if I remember correctly) a framed square inch from a dress worn by Princess Diana.
I wish they'd come up with a way to filter memorabilia cards from results for actual game worn items, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. I've been told that the reason Ebay's search system seems to have so many bugs in it is because all they are concerned with is the "best match" filter--in which sellers essentially pay Ebay for a better "best match" ranking.
<< <i>This seller likes to put "10 cent shipping" in the title when selling PSA cards, so "PSA 10" pulls up his auctions. lol >>
Same seller also declares a card is centered, when clearly it is not
Centered!
