  • Well it started via private message when he sent the message "tracking number?". To which I asked "Your name". Well asking what his name was got me the response that he was not in the mood for stupid games. It's totally vindictive and the guy is a nutjob. Also admitted his has more than one bidding acct. Stay away if you can. Guy praises me yet calls me rude. I respond and he blasts me with three negatives.

He asked for tracking number, curtly I might add, and you replied back to your customer just as curtly? Hmmm...

Looks like the buyer will have the last laugh unless eBay pulls it's head out of it's arse and removes them. Plus via PM on there he said he would be giving me negatives before he even received anything.

A private message on ebay, or here? If it was on ebay, then isn't his name (ebay ID) included with the message?

Yeah, not cool. But he does have the right to leave negative feedback if any part of his experience, including communication, is not up to his expectations. Maybe you actually worded your request for his name better than you indicated here, but it sounded rude to me too.

On eBay. I have already talked to customer service and they looked at the messages so they see what he said. They are reviewing it for whatever that is worth.

Well he leaves a positive first saying beautiful packs but yet has to call me rude. So when I respond to that he then decides to leave three negatives for the other transactions. Guy is a nutjob plain and simple. My 10 years of feedback show that I am anything but rude. But eBay is a flawed system where this guy can say what he wants because I didn't kiss his a** just the way he wanted it. Total B.S.

I usually try to stay away from these types of topics, but I feel the need to comment on this one. This is an issue I have been having regularly with sellers on Ebay. I can't for the life of me understand why sellers will not mark items as shipped and at least put the DC#. I bought 6 cards from one seller several days ago and I still have no idea if they have been shipped. I am watching several of his other cards that end later in the week but I may not bid if he can't take the time to let me know that the cards I have already purchased have been sent.

I sell on Ebay some and its so easy to ship through Ebay plus it marks the item as shipped as well as it shows the buyer the DC or tracking number. Another plus is its almost always cheaper to do the shipping through Ebay and then stick it in your mailbox and let the mailman pick it up. Even if your not comfortable leaving stuff your shipping in the mailbox print the postage online it will save you some hassle and money.

Brianwintersfan you seem to be a good guy but it sounds like the buyer was frustrated because you did'nt provide the shipping info. Although it does sound like he could have been a bit more friendly when asking about it. If you had provided the info instead of making the comment you did back he may have been satisfied. Sometimes even though its hard you have to overlook the jerks in life.I do think any negative feedback you got should be reversed since he threatened to do so before even getting the item.

Based on the feedback he's left, this dude seems like a real jackass. And he misspells "you're" as "your". That always gets under my skin.

When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Frustrated or not his initial message was not very friendly. If he would have said " hey just wondering if this was shipped out and if it was could I have the tracking number?", I would have gladly gotten it to him asap.
And as far as shipping goes I have printed out my own postage and also let the post office do it for me. I don't always have time to put in tracking numbers but if someone asks I will always provide the info for them.

Next time you go to a restaurant and shortly after placing the order, grab a waitstaff and demand, "WHERE'S MY FOOD?!?!".

    Good times.

Here is the million dollar question? When he said "tracking number" and you responded "Your name" did you already know who he was and what he was asking for and just maybe wanted to give it back a little?

I have to be honest, I can almost smell it when someone is being cutesy with me and it drives me crazy. With all that being said it's still awful that he left you a neg.

No, I don't operate that way. It was a legit question. I had no clue who he was.

    Evening,

Doesn't smell right, when a question is asked of me through E-Bay it always shows the Auction/Listing item, so I always know what is being referenced. Years ago I got a couple of Negs due to business practices like this (My Attitude), until I learned its a Zero Sum game, I'm in the Customer service business, so act like it, haven't had a Neg in 3-4 years because I learned this!

Don't you'll remember my Planetary Transporter/Transmogrifier answers to where is my card after 1 day questions, Funny, but counter-productive!!

Of course I saw his user id. I wanted his real name so I could match it up with my delivery confirmation receipts. That's why I asked him.

The email he sent to you through Ebay would have had a link to the item he purchased. You can find his name and all other info by going to the listing and clicking on "View order details".

You don't use E-Bay/Paypal shipping, I don't have to go through those coniptions, all I have to do is click on the item in the E-Bay question, then click on Order details and the tracking number is there, and I just click on it!!!

Just another reason I got my head out of my A$$ and started using E-Bay/Paypal shipping with DC on every purchase which has saved me about $2000-$2500 on USPS costs (Money in my Pocket) in the last 2-2 1/2 years.

Side note: I want to thank kbcards for actually finally convincing me to start using it eons ago!!!!

I ship through eBay/PayPal and via Priority Mail (and 1st Class on the few lower values items) and it always posts the tracking number to the transaction AND sends an email to the buyer alerting them that it has been prepared for shipping and provides the tracking number. eBay/PayPal shipping also offers free Delivery Confirmation. The one thing I do, however, is make certain that it is scanned when dropped for shipping, otherwise I'm at the mercy of when the USPS decides to initially scan the item for it to enter the system. Since adopting this policy, I've never had anyone request shipping information or question delivery. YMMV...
